ABOUT ME
Professional
Information
I am currently enrolled in Ryerson University's Literatures of Modernity Master's Program.
I have completed a 4-year BA at Carleton University in English Literature with a minor in Greek History.
As a 20-something-year-old living in Toronto, I have always been passionate about books. My foray into editing began in my mid-teens when I discovered countless spelling mistakes in published novels that irritated me to no end. From then on, I have crafted my editorial services through professional courses at Ryerson University and being an active member of the Editor’s Association of Canada. Over the last two years, I have acquired extensive knowledge in editing, publishing, liaising, networking, and merchandising. I have edited websites, training modules, academic papers, book excerpts, publishing contracts and manuscripts, and book proposals.
I have also just completed a Certified 8-week business course through the Toronto Business Development Centre in conjunction with Toronto Public Library. This course aided in learning more about entrepreneurship in the Publishing industry. I also learned many aspects of sales and marketing including: strategies and tactics, creating objectives, advertisements, and writing a business plan.
